Disturbia Movie/Disturbia Movie Review-Disturbia less of a horror
movie and more of a suspense thriller of some sort with a good cast.
Disturbia plays on our innate voyeuristic tendencies, from those who like to people watch to those who get their kicks out of reality television and invasive tales of celebrities gone awry.  It is the ability to create entertainment where there was nothing previously, not that it wasn’t there, but it was blocked out by more in your face diversions.

The
movie is about a kid, played by Shia LaBeouf, who has been alittle troubled recently with the loss of his father, which is shown in the beginning of the
movie. One day his teacher pushes him too far with bringing up his dad and Shia, or Kale in the
movie, Kale attacks his teacher and is almost arrested. Instead he is suspended and must stay in his home with a bracelet around his leg, house arrest. While he is stuck in his house he gets bored and uses binoculars to spy on the neighbors. There is a new girl that moves in next door and he tries to get her attention, there are little kids watching porn in their room when mom isn’t looking, and then there is the next door neighbor who is a murderer and murders women who he brings to his house. When Kale tells the police they don’t believe him, and one day the killer targets Kale’s mom…Kale has to find out a way to prove this man is a killer and protect his mom and get the girl next door all at the same time.

This
movie was surprisingly good and had some suspensefull moments to it. The acting is good and there is an asian character that is a great character for the
movie and is really funny, and was also in the new Friday the 13th movie…

The guy who played the killer I have seen him before but can’t remember the name but he was great for the part. He did a good job playing a seemingly harmless man with a killer instinct down in his soul…I guess lol.

This
movie was surpriingly good and I would recommend it to a lot of people, but no means is this a gore film or an exploitation film but it is a fun film and done well.

This is a nicely pieced together thriller. It may cover familiar ground, but it does so in a nice style and plays out in a strong enough manner that it can stand up and be seen. It is not destined for greatness, but it is a fun watch and better than I had been expecting.
