This week on The Bachelorette, Jillian will visit an unprecedented number of hometowns to meet the remaining contestants families and friends. That means five, not four, hometown dates will take place this week.
According to the episode description, Jillian:
* Fears that one guy’s family might disapprove of her.
* Questions if another bachelor is ready for marriage.
* Wonders if she can meet another’s family expectations.
* Thinks one bachelor might be getting cold feet.
* Wants to resolve the someone-has-a-girlfriend question.
Jillian visits Reid in Philadelphia on his birthday, and the two touring the historic downtown. Reid’s mom mentions the “k” word (kids) upon meeting Jillian.
In Valencia, California, Jillian meets Michael’s family, In a throwback to Brad Womack’s season, a twin brother (Steve) is thrown into the mix, and he backs his bro to Jillian, telling her he’s a great guy who’s ready for marriage.
Jillian meets Kiptyn’s family in San Diego. (Could they be the ones to pull the “caution tape” around the hot tub joke on Jill?) And Jesse’s family is just a hop, skip and a jump away in Carmel, California, where the family winery is the main attraction.
Of course, Jillian also visits Austin, Wes Hayden’s hometown. She is treated to a performance by Wes’s band. The same day, Jake returns to the show to warn Jillian that Wes has a girlfriend, and her name is Laurel. Wes reportedly denies this.
Adding one more bachelor to the mix (assumed to be Ed Swiderski), Jillian will have to narrow the group of 6 suitors to 4 before jetting off to Spain to sort through her love matches. Before Jillian eliminates a bachelor at the rose ceremony, Wes and Jake (who returns for this reason) have a dramatic confrontation.
